This policy explains how ChemLite collects, uses, and stores information when you use the ChemLite iOS app and this website (chemlitedse.com). We use this information to operate ChemLite and sync your study data. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your learning data to train AI models.
Who we are
ChemLite is an HKDSE Chemistry study app and web companion. If you have any problem, contact support@chemlitedse.com.
Information we collect
Account: email address, and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google account email and display name. You may also set a display name in the app.
Learning data: practice results, statistics, error log book entries, game progress, daily missions, collection items, and similar study progress so it can sync across your devices.
User content: optional photos and text you attach to message-board posts, replies, feedback, or problem reports.
Notifications: if you allow push notifications on iPhone, a device token so we can send alerts about your account.
Teacher features: if you apply as a teacher or join a class, we store that application, class, and enrolment information.
How we use it
We use this information solely to operate, maintain, and improve ChemLite: sign-in, cross-device sync, practice and battle features, teacher tools, and support.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
We use service providers that process data for us: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), Apple (App Store distribution and optional push notifications), and our email provider (to send sign-in codes).
Those providers process data only as needed to run ChemLite.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and study data while your account is active.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time in the iOS app under Settings → My account. After deletion, the information is permanently removed from our servers.
Children
ChemLite is made for secondary-school chemistry students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, contact support@chemlitedse.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will post the new version at this URL and change the date above.
